£IOOO THEFT
FROM MAIL BAG. (Avstiiiliii n Press Association.) BRISBANE, March 20One thousand pounds in Treasury notes mysteriously disappeared from a registered mail hag despatched from Townsville. When the hag reached Cloneurry the seals were apparently intact, hut the packet containing the money was missing. Three years ago, the same bank, the Queensland National Bank, lost five thousand pounds in transit to Melbourne.
