FORTY PERSONS INJURED. (Australian Press Association.) (Received this day at 8 a.m.) SYDNEY. March 19. During a terrific rainstorm in the city to-night, a tram slipped on the wet rails and crashed into the rear of another. Both cars were telescoped. Forty persons were taken to the hospital and five were admitted, two being serious. j lie driver jumped deal but a man in the front compartment was unscratched. Viewing the broken woodwork and glass it is incredible that lie was not seriously injured.
