A case paralleling Rouse's lias begun at Helensbiirg. The police lound on the roadside a burned car wherein was a charred body, which was identified and buried as Eric Ectzner, whose life was insured for L‘70()0 sterling.
Tlu> police being suspicious, watched the wife and overheard her telephoning to Straslnirg where they found and arrested Tetzner. He at first confessed atliat he picked up a train]) and knocked him insensible with a scanner and set fire to the car.
Later Tetzner pleaded that he accidentally ran over and killed a tramp. He then conceived the idea ot an insurance swindle. At to-day’s trial accused persisted that the latter story was true, hut tlu* police unearthed a witness, Ortner, who on Hitli November accepted Tetzner’s invitation to a ride end was attijcked with a spanner, but escaped. Krau Tetzner was charged with a filing and abetting tin. accused.
