ENCOURAGING GOLD PRODUCTION.

There is frequently a revival of interest in gold seeking and prospecting during periods of economic depression and acute unemployment, and at least one citizen of Invercargill, possessing a wide experience of prospecting for the precious metal many years ago, is satisfied that work of this description would find reproductive employment for many of those at present tunable to obtain work. This view was expressed to a “Southland Times” reporter by Air R. Parsons, who was associated with several of the large sluicing and dredging schemes in Central Otago many years ago.
