NAVAL AGREEMENT

It is a victory for fail' play and common' sense declared Signor Grandi, when addressing the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chamber. The practical effect was to give relative advantage to Italy in modoni ships and to France in average ships. The agreement safeguarded the Italian viewpoint, while allowing ■'tie third reduction of Itnlo-Ereucli building and creating tli ( > atmosphere reimired for the solution of other problems in the peace of Europe and the world, pointing the way to reductions of hind and air arm,aments.
