CO XER EN ClO 11 ESI) LT 7TI<>NS. (By Tclcyraph —Fa Frcss Association) AVELLINGTON, Alarch 13. The conference of tlie Alliance of Labour, said Ah' Roberts, to-day, discussed at length yesterday afternoon the Unemployment Act and its administrators.

A ’report was submitted suggesting rational methods of taxation in connection with the scheme for insurance against employment, methods of employent, rates of wages, and sustenance pay. The report was unanimously adopted. It was further decided that the report be placed before Unions for approval. The question of whether workers should pay the current instalment of the unemployment tax was also submitted to the Unions.

Delegates expressed, through a resolution. the unanimous opinion that unless Government altered the methods of taxation in connection with the Act and administration by the Board, Unions would not pay the levy.
