The weekly meeting of the Earthquake Belief Committee to have been held to-night at the Town Hall has been adjourned until 3 o'clock to-mor-row (Wednesday) afternoon at the Town Hall.—Advt. Mr R. B. Mr J, ,T. Mclntosh has been advised of his election at Nelson yesterday to the office of President of the United Fire Brigades’ Accident Fund. The election took place at the annual conference of New Zealand Fire Brigades. Mr F. McGregor is the local representative at the Conference.

At Tvanieri Public Hall on March 17th. (St. Patrick's night) the Kanieri committee organising for the earthquake fund will hold a benefit concert and dance. The Kokatahi Lilies well contribute the first half of the programme. The dance should be very enjoyable. Admission to the concert will be adults Is 6d ; children 6d, to the ball, gents 2s 6d; ladies Is. As the Kanieri gatherings are so popular there is sure to be a bumper attendance, particularly for so popular an object.
