The Government hears with some regret the reel iminations from New Zealand that they are making no trade progress with Canada.
'Liie Caiiadian-Austi'alian trade treaty will he published when it is introduced sinnilaiieously in the two Parliaments.
It is learned here that there ale to lie new negotiations with New Zeafor a specific agreement. The Canadian Government, however, faces a considerable difficulty in promoting mutual trade with New Zealand when the main product of that Dominion lias to he the subject of a- high, if not prohibitive diitv.
