RADIO PROGRAMME

Miss “Cicely Audibert, soprano ol Christchurch iviio is touring the YA Stations under engagement to the Broadcasting Company, will give her second recital at IYA this evening. Ail Hugh Woods (bass-baritone) will also no on the programme. Two new humorous entertainers will be introduced, The Tollys, who will present some diverting nonsense. A very popular programme will lie contributed by the Orchestral Octet. At 2YA Alias Myra Sawyer will sing “The \Vren’> and “Crossing the Bar,” Air W. Boardman’s soios being “Venetian Song’’ and “Bass Every .Alan,” As a duet:—“lsone so Pretty'’—will be sung. There will be tenor solos by Mr A. Coe. Mr Allan gliand will contribute novelty items on the piano. There will also l>e selections by the 2YA Orchestrion. Excerpts from the popular musical comedies, “The Girl m the Taxi,’’ “Sally, ’ and “Alary'' will comprise the vocal numbers of the musical programme at 3YA. Humorous items will be contributed by Mr Geo. Titchener The instrumental programme will b p provided by Miss Aiteen Warren (pin 11 - is.n) Mr Fred Fox (cornetist) and the Chrisichurch Broadcasting Trio. Listeners who tune in to 4YA thi - evening can be assured of a really bright, varied and novel two hours’ entertainment. The vocal side of the programme is in the hands of Alins M. Vickers (soprano), Mrs E. Stone (contralto), Mr H. Browse (tenor) and Mr W. Uutfeil (baritone). Miss E. M. Holland is to appear in two character .sketches. The instrumental side of the concert will be a veritable pot pound of pleasing numbers. Mr W. T. Devlin will present marimbaphone solos and Mr K. Murphy, mouth organ solos. Mr R. G. Napier will mane his reappearance at 4YA with brilliant piano novelties. Air Ted Farrant will present violin <solos with light vocal effects.
SATURDAY, .uAHGH 7th. Broadcasting artists will contribute to the concert to be given by the Auckland Aiunicipal Band (u utter c.ipt. u--o. JhicKiey; tuis evening. Ihey will be: MBs Cicely Audibert isoprano) and Mr frank Sutherland (baritone) will also contribute items. Tho concert will be a particularly good one. This will be Aiiss Audibert’s third and final recital in Auckland. 2YA’s vaudeville programme will be provided by Miss Muriel .Johns (popular songs at the piano), the White Loons Novelty Trio, Mr Len Ashton (humorous reciter), Air T. C. Rodger (dulcimer Soloist;, Mr William Charles (tenor), Air Stanley Chapman (’cellist). rlie Orchestral numbers will comprise Flotow’s “Stradella,” selections from “Lilac Time,” “The Suite UnenuiT 3 and the latest dance novelties.
