MAY BE OPENED ARMISTICE DAY (By Telegraph—Ver Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 5At a meeting of the Wellington Carillion Society, it was reported that the construction of the tower would he suffic’sntly advanced by October to permit the commencement of the erection of the bells. For this work experts will be sent out by the founders of the bells, Messrs Gillett and Johnson of Croydon. It is hoped the installation will be sufficiently advanced to allow of the opening on Armistice Day. Mr Clifford Bali, Bournemouth, is coming out to open the Carillion in connection with which the official ceremony will be performed by His Excellency the Governor-General.
