A report from Region (Saskatchewan) states: —Premier Anderson announced the grain marketing conditions in Canada, would he probed by a Royal Commission appointed by the Dominion Government. A Winnipeg message reports : —The movement that Overseas maintained at the four million bushels weekly since the first year dropped to three millions last week. The visible supply decreased by one million eight burnt re thounamd bushels to one hundred and ninety-four hundred thousand bushels. Last week’s shipments included a million bushels from Paulic ports. DECISION NOT FINAL. OTTAWA, March 4. It is learned that the Dominon Government made no final decision to appoint a Royal Commission to investigate wheat marketing. CONGRESS ADJOURNED. IMMIGRATION BILL DEFEATED. WASHINGTON, March 4. The seventy-first Congress was adjourned to-day. Among the measures which fell by the wayside was Jenkins Immigration Bill, seeking to. provide for a general cut of ninety per cent, in immigration and limit the annual entries from Canada for two years to 4*125. The Bill encountered unexpected opposition and died after the passage by tlie House.
