GENERAL STRIKE TALK. (Australian Press Association.) SYDNEY, February 28. Newcastle trade unionists on March 4 will discuss the declarations of n general strike throughout Australia. GERMAN MEAT PROPOSAL. SYDNEY, Feb. 28. A private cable received in Sydney intimates that a German Parliamentary Trade Committee approved the importation 50,000 tons of frozen meat, duty free, beginning on March 1. This is subject to ratification by the Reichstag. The import of frozen meat was embargoed last year. It is expected if the ban. is" lifted-that Australia will be drawn upon for a portion.
