MR CHURCHILL’S DIVERGENCE (British, Official Wircicss.) RUGBY, Eebruary 23. lU. Hon. Al,r Churchill. a{. a meeting of his constituents, defended his resignation from the Business Committee of the Conservative Party. He said lie found that as a -member of the Commitee. lie could not give full effect to his convictions about India, He agreed with the Conservative delegates taking part in the RoundTable Conference but he was surprised and alarmed at the sudden landslide of opinion which took place. He could only say that upon India Air Baldwin and lie “do not mean tile same thing.”
