HUGE ICEBERG
NEAR NEW ZEALAND. WELLINGTON, February 22. 'Pile Secretary of the Post and Telegraph Department has been advised as follows by the Superintendent of the Awarua Radio Station: .6.40 pm.— 'Flie barque “Faveil,” latitude 50 S., longitude 105 east, distant 240 miles from Awarua, bound to Fhhnoutli from Wallaroo, reports that she has ■ just passed a large iceberg, with two peaks apparently 100 feet high.” , , jLater the P. and T. Secretary reccgycd a further report from the Superintendent of Awarua radio station as follows; “The reference to the Favell’s report on the iceberg on the 21st hist., the master further advises:“Two hours after the , first report, the iceberg capsized, and is is now low and dangerous, covering a great space.!’
