GLASGOW ARRESTS
ALLEGED SILK COY. FRAUDS. {United Press Association—By UHeotri© Telegraph—Copyright). LONDON, February 18. The thirteen Glasgow business men whose- arrest wins mentioned yesterday have been remanded. One of them is 80 years of age. They were remanded on the deposit of guaranteed cheques totalling ton thousand sterling.
It is understood that the case will take mbnt'ils to prepare. The arrests were ma.de in connection with the affairs of a two million sterling company, Scottish Amalgamated Silks, Ltd., at present in liquidation. One of the accused, who is alleged to have formed a fraudulent scheme, with the others. whereby £438,000 which was subscribed by the public has allegedly been appropriated to their own use,
