CITY PREMISES DESTROYED. CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE DONE. (By Telegraph— Fer I’ress Association) CHRISTCHURCH. February 19. A fire at midnight in a two storeyed business block in Worcester Street], considerably damaged the vulcanising plant belonging to Gillespjes, tbe printing works ol AA idis anil Aitkeu, and the electrical goods store of J. JSmail Ltd. The property was owned by 0. T. Moulder and was insured in the Commercial Union. Gillespies stock and plant in the Victoria Office. Smni! in the North British, Willis and Aitken in the Commercial Union. The figures are unavailable.
