HOSPITAL’S DEBTS
DRASTIC RETRENCHMENT. (Australian Press Association.) (Received Hay at 11 a.m.. SYDNEY, February 18. Hampered by an overdraft of £105.00(1 sterling and tradesman’s debts amounting to £14.000 the directors ot the Rtwal Prince Alfred Hospital have decided to dractiially retrench the staff and dose a number of beds. The annual cost of running the hospital is £130.000 of which Government contributes £(>0.000. Henceforth only urgent and casualty eases will be admitted, till the position improves.
