FEDERAL LABOUR. CONFERENCE. (Australian Press Association.) MELBOURNE, February 13. The Conference of the Federal-Exec-utive of the Labour Party- meets r. Sydney during the weekend' and regimes consideration of the financial plans in conjunction with Air Theodora. THREE YEAR PLAN ADOPTED. (Received this day at 11 a.m.) CANBERRA, February 14. The Conference of the Federal State Afinisters agreed to adopt the Three Year Plan to meet national emergency and bring about adjustment of burdens. The objects aimed at are the re-absorption in industry of unemployed; maintenance of national solvency; restoration of the Budget equilibrium : and an equitable spread of loss of national income over all sections of the community. The proposals include substantial reduction of interest rates on the deposits and advances of Commonwealth Bank, Trading Banks and Savings Banks a reduction in wages salaries and allowances in State anil Commonwealth Public Services, and a special tax on interest- from bonds. These decisions followed a long discussion on the reply of the Commonwealth Bank to Mr Theodore. AUSTRALIAN LABOUR PARTY. ITS POLICY IN BYE-ELECTION. SYDNEY, February 14. Completely ignoring Air Scullin, the Australian Labour Party executive decided that the policy of the Labou Party in the east Sydney bve-electfoi campaign should be that enunciated by Air Lang at the Financial Conference at Canberra. The executive selected Alderman F J. Ward as its candidate, and administered a further rebuff to Air Scullin by | inviting the assistant Manager of Industry (Air Beasley) to open the Labour Campaign. A resolution adopted by the meet ing read.—This executive believes tlm policy of Air Lang is the only statesman like sane policy yet advanced b ,_ any responsible Australian political leaders.
