WOOL SALES
TONE OF MARKET IMPROVED. [By Telegraph, Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, February 13. At the wool sale, the .catalogue was fifteen thousand bales. The market wa s of a good tone and the opinion is that the January levels were restored. Growers are meeting the market. Bradford and the Continent were keeu. Good wools are bringing decidedly bet ter prices. Lambs are strong in quality but the demand is limited. Merinos and lialfbruds are a halfpenny better than the January rates. Bellies and pieces are dearer by a farthing to halfpenny. A speculative demand is apparent. The tone of the market has decidedly improved, but no sensational rise is looked for.
