found DEAD. (Australian Press Association) STRATFORD, February 10. Ronald Wilson, a young married farmer at Ivohuratahi, was found dead this morning at the back of his farm with a bullet hole in his forehead, Me had been in ill health for some time. FATALLY SHOT. CHRISTCHURCH, February 10. Thomas Joseph Smith, aged twentyfour, of Spreydon was fatally shot yesterday during a pig hunting expedition on a hill station twenty-five miles from Kaikoura. Considerable delay was experienced owing to caving in below 1100 feet. Bumped a large quantity of mud into formation, which Has shut off the gas, and apparently stopped. The caving in has now cleared out practically to the bottom. The condition of the hole is now more satisfactory.
