BOLTING HORSE ACCIDENT
A MAN KILLED. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. Taking fright, a bolting horse drawing a cart, owned and driven by Henry Lancclv Newnes, about fifty, a dealer, 4. v l Esplanade, Petoroa, crashed into a train bound from the city at Pc to lie crossing last evening. The horse was killed instantly, tbe c-art badly damaged and the driver received severe concussion and was admitted to tbe hospital in a critical condition. Dr. Slater who was returning from the earthquake area, was 011 the spot and gave attention to the injured. The train pulled up in a very short distance.
The injured man died in the hospital at 11.55 p.lll. Deceased was married with two grown-up children.
