TEN MILLIONS FOR UNEMPLOYMENT DOLE. LONDON, February 3. The “Daily Telegraph” says: The Government this month will be compelled to ask Parliament to sanction another £10,000,000 for the. purposes of the unemployment dole, making the debt of the fund at the 1 rc«*u*y £80,000,000. The extra £10.000.0(10 will only suffice to tide over the difficulties for a, further three months, if the present unemployment continues. Tliis is apart from the £22,000,000 per year which the Exchequer pays on account ol “traditional benefit. I min which 400,000 now benefit.
