LATE LOCALS.
In connection with the Unemployment Board. Xo. 5 scheme of assistance. all unemployed workers desiring to take advantage thereof must .be registered with the Postmaster at Hokitika before Monday next.
At a representative meeting o" Public Servants of Hokitika under the control of the Public Service Commissioner held at lunch-hour to-day -it was unanimously decided to donate one day’s pay to the Earthquake Relief Fund. The Postmaster, who was present at the meeting, stated that individual action had already been taken by members of the P. and T. Department. It is expected that a substantial amount will he collected from , this source.
