Two years of important research work under arrangements made by the Empire Marketing Board were completed to-day when Air William Davies AI.S.C., whose services have been loaned to the plant research station at this centre for that term, left Palmerston North to embark for England. He is returning to his post as chief officer of the Agronomy Department at the Aberystwyth plant breeding station in Wales, carrying back with him 200 samples of New Zealand grass seed.
When Davies readies England he will spend six months in work at the Aberystwyth, Cambridge plant breeding station and the animal nutrition station at Aberdeen.
