GENERAL MEETING. A. .general meeting- of members was held last evening at the Club Rooms. Present: Messrs E. McGregor (President) and 14'members. line Secretary (M.r M. Houston) read tlie balance sheet of the last meeting which showed the receipts totalled £ll3O 6s, showing a loss on the meeting. of £lB3 4s 2d. Outstanding assets totalled £122 5s lOd. ~The report was received. A lengthy di-tussion took place on the financial position. Tlie Gtov'ernmenj taxes on the meeting amounted to £460 6s 2d. It was resolved that a cheque for £3OO be paid in and the Department be asked to allow the Club to hold over payment of the balance until funds were available. It was further resolved to apply to all members of the Club, in view of the financial stringency to advance three years subscription to meet present liabilities. Members present took a .list of Club members and they will be waited on in the course of the next .day or two. Those present agreed to this course and it was full assured that the amount necessary to finance the present position would be raised by the course proposed The meeting terminated at 10.15 p.m.
