A verdict of accidental death returned by the Coroner at the quest concerning the death of a A George McDonald, of Awahuri, was admitted to Palmerston N hospital on January Ist, suffering the effects of an injury received wrestling bout at Kai Twi, dying days later. The medical evidence ed death was due to a. complete f verse injury of the spinal cord, ca by a dislocation of the spine, ah immediately below the neck. Whiti Mutu stated he and dece had a. friendly wrestling match Kai Twi on January Ist during w deceased fell, with witness on to him.

property. In sentencing acc-useds the Magistrate commented. that there had been a good deal of sheep stealing by motor lorry, not only here but in other district. When anyone was detected it was the duty of the Court to impose sentence to act as a deterrent. Each accused had a criminal record and could not receive the leniency usually extended to first offenders.
