Noel Leo Lai or, 10, a butcher’s assistant, gave evidence to the eilect that he was in a car with his mother when Jorgenson attacked her. “Jorgenson said to her, “If 11 cut your tnroat,” and he pulled her out of the car. “He had assaulted mother before, and about nine months previously he attacked me and knocked me unconscious.” The city coroner found that Jorgenson died from injuries justifiably inflicted by Lalor while repelling a violent attack upon his mother. “The lud leaves the court without a stain upon his character,” lie commented. “1 am quite satisfied that he had no intention of taking Jorgenson’s lile.
