N.Z. AND AUSTRALIA.
(By T elcyraph—Per Press Association) AUCKLAND) Jan. 27,
The way Ims been paved for the conclusion in. the near future of a new trade Treaty between Australia and New Zealand, according to a statement made by the Hon. Mr Parker Moloney, the Commonwealth Minister of Markets and Transport, prior to his departure to-uay for Sydney. This announcement was based on the result of Mr Parker Moloney’s consultations in Auckland yesterday with the Hon. J. B. Donald. At the conclusion of these interviews, the Australian Minister added: “We were both of the- opinion that a satisfactory agreement could he arrived at for the promotion of better trade relations between the Dominion and the Commonwealth. It had been agreed unit the Government of both'Dominions should prepare one; setting forth the trade requirments of each, and exchange them as soon as they were available. When that lmd been clone, there would be only the further step required of sending Government representatives from New Zealand to Australia, or from the Commonwealth to the Dominion, in order to conclude the negotiations.
