1 RENTE AIT, January 22 Cricket Bnt and Solvent fell'in the Tuo-\ear-Old Handicap. G. Humpries, rider of Solvent, broke his collarbone. An inquiry lound the accident was due to itossing by Fedora, whose rider, K. goitre, was suspended for one month. The attendance was large, but was below the average for Anniversay Day. T lie tote took £53,413$ compared with £85.7275, a decrease of £32,314. Results :

Koinako Hack:—(3) Patearoa 1; (2) Golden Shadow 2; (1) Leisure 3. Won by a short neck. Time 1.15 4-5.
Raumai Handicap : —(1) Belle Star 1 ; (2) Chopin 2: (3) Balloon 3. Won by $ a head. Time 1.51.
The tote took £10,850 against £19,027, a decrease of £8,177. There were two enquiries, one into the handling of Disrank in the hurdles, and the s other as to alleged .interference, with Golden Shadow by Leisure in the Komako Handicap. The evidence- was insufficient to take any action. <

WAIROA, January 22. The second day of the Wairoa Racing Club’s meeting was held today in fine, but threatening, weather. The attendance was good, and tne track in splendid order, after a night’s rain. Waiknremoana Hajck:— (l) Jazz King 1; (3) Full Crop 2; (2) Psycho 3. Won by a head. Time 1.15, Local Hack:—(l) Wedding Bells 1; (3) Bob- In 3; (4) Bouffon 3. Won by a necki Time 1.20. _ Carroll Memorial: —(s) Autumnia 1; (2) Queen’s Choice 2; (3) Te Awha 3. Won by a nose. Time 1.545. Hurarnua Hack:—<(l.) Autumn Sun 1; (3) Charmaline 2 ; (6) Nahi 3. Won by $ of a length. Time 1.42. Scurry Handicap:—(4) Erin’s Boy i ; (3) Abbeydale 2; (1) Star of Gold 3. Won by nose. Time 1.1 4-5. President’s Handicap:—(l) Royal Songster 1 ; (2) Teawhi 2; (4) The Author. Won by a length. Time 1.28. The tote took £6472, compared with £9563. the total for the meeting being £12104. the decrease for the meeting being £6086.
