'l’be (Auckland Comedy Players will this ovoning bo board from IYA in two scenes from “The School of Scandal” and “A lot for vour Money.’ Of particular interest on this pro gramme will be the items by Simon PhillipofF, a wonderful artist on the balalaika. Bert Kingsland’s saxophone quartet, a very popular combination, have included some well known numbers among their items, including “Every Day’’ and “Dancing Fool.” The vocalists for the evenin'.’ are Mr Victor Baxter (bass-baritone). Mr lan H. Buriy (tenor) and Miss Gwladys Payne (soprano). 3Y V has nautical programme. It i‘ entitled “Sens, Ships and Sailormen” and will be given by the Avon Glee Singers under the direction ol Miss Millicent Jennings. The whole of the evening’s* programme will bo redolent of the sea.
4YA has a programme of the classical—operatic type; followed by a dance music session. Miss Winnie Collier (mezzo-soprano) will sing excerpts from the Song Cycle “Dream of Egypt.” The other singers will be Miss Bertha Rawlinson (contralto) and Mr Ralph Martindale (baritone). Air J. B. McConnell will contribute elocutionary numbers. Trios will Fc played by Misses Rita Holmes, Judd and Moffntt. Silent day at 2YA.

Two new radio artists for IYA wil' appear on this evening’s programme— Miss Winifred Johnson (contralto) and Air lan AL Grant (tenor). Both these singers have had much concert experience. The very popular entertainers, Mr Elton Black and Aliss Alice Bennetto, wi" be beard again, and instrumental items will be given by the Orchestral Octet, under the direction of Air Harold Baxter. A special programme to mark tic anniversary of the founding ol Wei lington Province has been arranged by 2YA. Air L. AI. Assheton TTarbord L.R.A.AI. and bis orchestra will pro sent an entertainment of bright and breezy instrumental numbers. In tlm vocal portion the artists will bp Alb Kathleen Ferris (soprano). Air G. Austin B 1 ackic (tenor). -Mrs Dais’ Basham (of IYA, Auckland) and Air T(, at. Assheton TTarbord (baritone). Mr Len. Ashton will supply the h”mour. From 10 to 11 p.m. Air Harbord and bis orchestra will supply a programme of dance music. There will be a classical—opoiati programme at 3YA, the vocal number* being contributed by the ATclodious Quartet, with instrumental numbers h v Mr W. Hay (flautist) and the St”dio Octet, under ATr Harold R«ck Tlie concert programme will be followed at 0.30 p.m. by a session of dance music. Silent day at 4A A.
