(By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) AY HAN OAR FT, January 17. Fine weather and a good attendance favoured the Ray of Islands Racing Club’s annual meeting, field at Kawaknwn course to-day. The track was somewhat holding after rain on Thursday and yesterday. Results:— Hokianga Handicap:—(2) Good Idea 1; (1) Vanessa 2; (3) Kaihoremai 3. Won by 2 lengths. Time 1.20 3-5. Kaixohe Hand.cap:—(l) Gay Idea 1; (3) Oration 2; (5) The Thorn 3. Won by three lengths. Time 1.12 3-5. Kawakawa Cup- Handicap:— (1) King Willonyx 1; (2) Llanore 2; (-1) Nassock 3. Won by a length. Time 2.16 2-5. Northland Counties Handicap : —(1) Archcen 1; (4) Paper Dart 2; (2) Re Aka 3. Won by 4 lengths. Time 1.35. Maromaku Hack Handicap:—(l) Gay Idea 1; (2) Vanessa 2; (4) Orchus 3. * Pakaraka Handicap :—(1) Llanore 1; (2) Archeen. 2; (5) The Thorn 3. Won by a length. Time 1.20.
