Mr Scullin has been assured of t.’.e assistance of the Opposition in resisting the demands of the inflationists, and there seems no great reason to apprehend, if he stands his ground—-as, to judge from what he said at Melbourne on Saturday, he seems prepared to do that he will be overthrown on this particular point. Political developments in Australia during the next i'ew months will, however, fie exceedingly interesting. The public of New Zealand will be privileged in being able to watch them at somewhat close q liar tors.
