A SEND OFF
TO LINER OROPESA

The liner Oropesa which the Prince of Wales will join at Santander on Sunday, was given a great send off from Liverpool, all aboard, nearly six hundred, together with a crowd -at thi* landing stage singing “God Save the King”, led by ninety expert British workmen who are going to Bermuda, in connection with a half million sterling contract for a new hotel, which was won hv a London firm ill face of keen foreign competition.
All the available accommodation on the Oiopesa was booked within a few days of the announcement that the Prince was making his voyage by her. There are one hundred and fifty firstclass passengers, including the Cunliffes prominent businessmen and their wives going to Buenos Aires for the exhibition trade activities,
A party of Liverpool flower girls went aboard the vessel before the departure and decorated the Prince’s private quarters with flowers.
The purser has arranged for a dance, concert or whist drive every night of the four weeks of the voyage.
