S l T SPEC'LED DR(AVNJNG. (By Telegrapli—Per Press Association.! NEW PLYAIOUTH, January 13. A fisherman. James Smith, is believed to have been drowned in AVaitara river last night. About eleven p.m., he went to the rivet- mouth in a dinghy to set nets. This morning, his upturned boat was found on the riverbank, and Smith was missing. A search was made, the river being dragged, hut, no sign of the missing man was found. (Smith was married with two children. FARMER DROWNED. NEW PLYAIOUTH, January 12. A farmer named Wilfred Wyram Rmslie, aged 60, was drowned on Saturday in a dam on Ids farm at Oakui»a, while attempting to rescue sheep. Resuscitation attempts, failed
