At soccer, Northern Southport beat Halifax 5 —2. Gallagher. Chelsea’s Scottish International centre forward, was suspended for two months for using had language to the referee during the match against Grimsby on 17tfi December. Gallagher was transferred from Newcastle last June, the transfer fee being ten thousand sterling, the highest ever recorded.
