N Crump won the 100 yards junior hoy’s title in Go secs brrv.Mng the previous record of 65 1-5, held by R. Geddes (Otago). In the 75 yards intermediate girls breaststroke event, Miss I). Dowinar registered 63 secs, an improvement of 1 2-5 secs as on the former record or Miss M. Mathieson (Otago). The winners of titles are: 22Uyards junior boys—Crump, 2.19 3-5; 100yds and 220yds intermediate hoys—R. Franklin, 66secs and 2.19 3-5; 100yds j and 220,vds intermediate girls—Miss M. Leydon 73seos and 3.10 2-5; 50yds and 100yds junior girls—Miss E. Rainey, 82 4-5 sees and 79 2-5 secs. N. Crump and Misses D. Dowman and F,. Rainey were later selected to represent Auckland at the New Zealand Championships at Ashburton.
