BURGLARIES. 'By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) TE AROHA, January 12. Burglars operating at Te Aroha, entered the Ivanhoe boardinghouse during the week-end on two occasions and stole £5. They also entered H. Jackson’s furniture shop from which £7 was taken. DAIRY COMPANY'S RESOLUTION. PAHIATUA, January 12. A large representative meeting here of the Co-operative Dairy Companies of Pahiatua, Eketahuna, Southern Hawkes Bay under the auspices of the Bush Factories Association passed a resolution that the meeting was of the firm opinion after trial it was impossible to carry on industry under the Arbitration Conciliation Act and Government be requested to exempt the industry from the operation, of the}' Act. Copies of the resolution were sent to the proper quarters, also step 1 - are being taken to form a monster petiton to the Prime Minister asking effect be given the resolution. ROUGH WEATHER. ‘ PALMERSTON NORTH, Jan. 12. A heavy downpour of rain occurred this morning an inch being recorded in an hour.
