-NOTICES OF MOTION
1— The Chairman to move:—“That the accounts for the month of December, 1930, as revised and recommended for payment by Finance Committee, amounting to £- he passed for payment. 2 Tile Chairman to move:—“That
Arthur Clifton Esq., of Eiinu he appointed Council’s representative on Hokitika High School Board, for the ensuing term.”
3.—The Chairman to move:—“That public notice be given that ten per cent interest will be added to all rates remaining unpaid alter sth February next.” 4—Cr. Houston to move:-—“That any and all resolutions standing on the books of the Council, affecting the completion of Petersen Pond through Section 2829 (occupied by John J. McIntosh) Block IV. Wanganui S.D., be and hereby are, now rescinded.”
o—Cr. Houston to move:—“That the Council accept the offer of John J. Mclntosh of Hokitika to complete Petersen Road at his own cost and without charge to Government grant or Council funds, from a point at the end of the newly made road in front of his dwelling by n direct line as shown on the blue print plan before the Council, to the boundary road between two sections 2829 and 2830, Block IV. Wanganui S.D.; and thence by the boundary road to the point of intersection with the surveyed line of Petersen Road in Section 2830 on which construction has been proceeding; that the work of construction he
carried out in accordance with specification prepared by Overseer Millner and completed to his satisfaction within three months from the date of signing the agreement to be prepared, and that Mr Mclntosh he granted so far as the Council has control, the free use of the existing road reserve through Section 2829 until such time as the reserve may be required for roading purposes in consequence of any erosion affecting the front road route now being agreed to.”
6—Cr. Houston to move:—“That the Council use every expedition in completing Petersen’s Road within section 2830, so as to give Mr Wall access to the new road to he constructed as soon as the latter road is available for traffic.” 7—Cr. Donovan to move :—“That £o he expended in giving urgent attention and necessary repairs to the Gillespies Cemetery.”
SPECIAL MEETING
I—The Chairman to move:—“That Wednesday afternoon of each week he fixed as the statutory half-holiday for the County of Westland for the ensu* ing year,” N
