LONDON, January 8. Regarding the Foster tragedy, throughout the: evening special police have been scouring the desolate moorland nearby in search of Miss Foster’s assailant. It is manifest that the girl made! a stern struggle for her honour before being struck on the head. It is conservatively estimated there are one hundred and fifty .thousand farmers in need, with dependents-of six hundred thousand. ' The grant is likely to he based as two dollars to every one granted by Provincial Governments.
