A report on State fimme.s for the six months period of the present finj uncial year shows expenditure oxi needed revenue by £5,353.839. Oii Thursday Air Forbes will be entertained at luncheon by the New Zealand Association and leaves on Friday for New Zealand by the Ulimaroa. Air Schmitt New Zealand Trade Commissioner, left Sydney for Melbourne to meet Air Forbes and parly.

Further details of the tidal wave o--tin* northern coast line of New Guinea on 24th December have been received. The wave affected more than forty mils of coastline, at places rising to a height of 25 feet. The Sapora Mission Station and the trading station near Alading were wiped out, and six lives lost. One man is missing, and three others were injured.
