In view of the Billiards Council reservations in invitation to the Conference that championships must be decided on a West England cloth with the final played at Birmingham, Lindriitn, McConacliy, Davis and Newman in .a letter to the Council say ('-'—They unanimously decided thqre . is little good in accepting the invitation and “it is our intention to promote our own tournament, details of which we are acquainting you of later.”
