ALLIANCE OF LABOUR

TRADES COUNCIL ATTITUDE. WELLINGTON, January 5. The relationship between the Wellington Thades and Labour Council and the New Zealand Alliance of Labour (to which the Wellington council is affiliated) is to be discussed at a meeting of the Trades Council this week. For some time tliei'e lias been talk of a revival of the Federatoin ot Trades Councils, a body to which the councils in Wellington, Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin and other centres were previously affiliated; and it is probable that this subject will also be considered at the meeting. The Christchurch Trades Council has convened a conference of trades councils at Christchurch this month for the purpose of considering the re* establishment of the Federation of Trades Councils.
