•• WEJJLINGTON, Jan. 7. At the wool sale there was an agv . .gregato■ catalogue.of eighteen thousand i bales. There was keen competition, V; which opened slightly under the closing rates of December. Super crossbred of good quality was fully up to the December level, whilst wools justreaching the average grade were weaker by a ifarthing. Fully average wools keep to December level, wools selling at 4£d and 4sd in December not quite V* reaching those prices to-day. Bellies % and pieces a to: id. Cheaper wool offered a good average quality considering the poor season' but was slightly in grease compared with the ■’December offering yet was bright in colour if lacking good'growth. Bradford was active, America buying moderately suitable wools. The Continent only fairly keen. There is very little old'Wool in the catalogue
