STOCKS FALL IN LONDON.

The advance of exchange lias had a further depresing eife.it on Australian stocks. Several have been marked down severely. Victi.rinn three and a half £SB, lives £76:-;. New South Wales fours £B£.l. threes £69, three and a half £53',. Queensland fives £73. Tasmanian three and a half £69-). West Australian three and a half £75. Australian circles in London are generally shocked at the increase, hut it is felt in some quarters that even twenty per cent is not now unthinkable.
There are several eases of extreme hardship including several gentlewomen owing to the difficulty and in some eases the impossibilities of getting dividends and remittances from Australia.
