PERSIAN ART
.WONDERFUL EXHIBITION fUnited Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.] (Received this day at 10 30 a.m.) LONDON, January 5. To make the “golden journey to Samacnnd” it is only necessary to visit the international exhibition ' of Persian art, assembled from all parts of the world, at the Royal Academy under the patronage of His Majesty and the Shah. A preliminary view discloses a delicate tracery, priceless illuminated manuscripts,\ historic carpets centuries old, also weapons, jewellery, glass, crystal, paintings tissues in profusion unimaginable outside the Arabians Nights. The most striking display is contained in a showcase, guarded by a radio visor light with a sensitive bridge. Any interruption of the ray releases a switch and illuminates a warning signal in the main entrance and turnstiles closing all doors.
