IN SOUTH WESTLAND

During the holidays quite a few accidents occurred in South Westland At Karangarua a touring lady was thrown from her horse, and received serious injuries, Dr Bell of AY ataroa was called Southland made the patient as comfortable as possible. While rounding the north approach to W T ataroa Bridge, a motor cycle skidded and the rider struck the rails and one of the standards, fractaling his collar hone severly. Doctor Bell was again called and after making a smart arrival set the limb and made the patient as comfortable as possible. The unfortunate man was working for the Public W T orks Department . at the south side of the Cooks River, and will he laid aside for some time.
