The concluding day of the Auckland Trotting Club’s summer meeting was held at Auckland Park in hot weather. The track was fast. The attendance was fair. The totalisator handled £34,909}, a decrease of £17,680} on the third day last year. For the meeting the investments totalled £129,875 against £165,555 last year, a decrease of £36,680,

New Year Handicap :—Glenrossie 1; Gold Dial 2 ; Warplane 3: Won by two lengths; one length. Time 4.30 3-5. Rowe Trotting Cup:—Raima 1; Surprise Journey 2; Peter McKinney 3. Raima took charge three furlongs from home and won comfortably by a length and a-quarter; Surprise Journey two lengths ahead of Peter McKinney, with Ukelele Lady three quarters of a length further back fourth.
