COUNT VON LUCKNER . MOTOR CAR ACCIDENT. NEW YORK, December 17. Count von Luckner, the German “sea-devil” renowned for his exploits on the raider See Adler during the latter part of the war, was injured in a motor accident at Chicago, and is likely to be in hospital for some time. Count von Luckner harried the Allies’ merchant marine in 1916 and 1917 with his vessel the See Adler. He was later captured and interned oil Motuihi Island whence he escaped and was again captured.
