Matthews expects to hop off from Darwin on Thursday on his first sea leg of the journey. AVIATOR’S. HOPES. (Received this day at 8. a.m.) BRISBANE. Dec. 29. The airman Matthews ha<s arrived and leaves for Longreach in the mornincr. He says he is confident of lowering the flying record from Darwin to London.
