Edward Hambleton a hanker, president of Hambleton and Company, committed suicide upon his return from a big game expedition to Africa, when lie found that his wife was suing for divorce. He carried life insurances totalling £1,000,000. AMERICAN ATHLETES. START FOR NEW ZEALAND. SAN FRANCISCO, December 24. Three prominent university athletes who have been chosen to visit Australia and New Zealand, sailed by the Monowai to-day. They are:—Marlow Rothart, of Stanford, shot putter; Rufus Kaiser, Univerity of 'Washington, mile runner and George Simpson Ohio, State sprint champion.
