Edward Hambleton a hanker, president of Hambleton and Company, committed suicide upon his return from a big game expedition to Africa, when lie found that his wife was suing for divorce. Three prominent university athletes who have been chosen to visit Australia and New Zealand, sailed by the Monowai to-day. They are:—Marlow Rothart, of Stanford, shot putter; Rufus Kaiser, Univerity of 'Washington, mile runner and George Simpson Ohio, State sprint champion.
